Mallanwala Khass is a small village in Ferozepur District of Punjab State. It lies at a distance of around 25 km to the east from its district head quarters - Ferozepur and almost 222 km from the state capital - Chandigarh. The village comes under Zira Tehsil and is well connected to the surrounding areas and important cities of Punjab state through roadways and railways. Mallanwala Khass village is connected to Valtoha-15 Tehsil to the north, Ferozepur Tehsil to the west, Ghall Khurd Tehsil to the south and Zira Tehsil to the east. History of Mallanwala Khass

Mallanwala Khass was once the part of the Dogar Territory. In fact, the village was established by a Dogar Chief, who named as Malla. Once the Sikhs invaded at this area around the year 1760, Jassa Singh Ahluwalia possessed this area along with several surrounding villages, which was then popular as a separate territory(Ilaqa). Later, the area was captured by the Maharaja Ranjit Singh but after the Satluj Campaign (1845-46), the Ahluwalia family recaptured this region from him through a hostile approach and their estates were taken away by the British Empire.
